Township Board Meeting Supervisor Mahaffy called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. All Board Members present. 1. Moved by Trustee Karas. Seconded by Trustee Boulier to approve the minutes of the 3/7/2011 Township Board Meeting. Motion carried. 2. Moved by Trustee Boulier. Seconded by Trustee Karas to pay all bills.
Roll Call: Yes Trustees Karas, Boeck, Boulier & Hovis, Clerk Skonieczny, Treasurer Miskus and Supervisor Mahaffy. Motion Carried. 3. Charles Weisner addressed the Township Board concerning a broken water meter that caused water damage to his condo at 1715 River Road Unit 62. Supervisor Mahaffy stated that the Township is responsible only up to the meter pit or stop box. St Clair Township Ordinance states that water damage due to a broken water meter is not the responsibility of the Township. 4. Moved by Treasurer Miskus. Seconded by Trustee Karas to approve Resolution 11-04 Charitable Gaming Licenses (attached). Roll Call: Yes Trustees Karas, Boeck, Boulier & Hovis, Clerk Skonieczny, Treasurer Miskus and Supervisor Mahaffy. Motion Carried. 5. Township Board discussed removal of the recycling bin from the Township Park. Recycling bin will be removed 5/31/2011. 6. Moved by Trustee Karas. Seconded by Clerk Skonieczny to contract for a one-year service agreement with Orkin for Pest Control at a cost of $50.00 per month. Roll Call: Yes Trustees Karas, Boeck, Boulier & Hovis, Clerk Skonieczny, Treasurer Miskus and Supervisor Mahaffy. Motion Carried. 7. Moved by Trustee Karas. Seconded by Trustee Boeck to approve option three contract with the St. Clair County Road Commission and use 6,000 tons of stone at 250 tons a mile on East and West Township Roads at a cost of $82,000.00. Roll Call: Yes Trustees Karas, Boeck, Boulier & Hovis, Clerk Skonieczny, Treasurer Miskus and Supervisor Mahaffy. Motion Carried. 8. Moved by Trustee Hovis. Seconded by Trustee Boeck to contract with the St. Clair County Road Commission to chloride gravel roads in 3 – 9’ passes, 153,000 gallons at an approximate cost of $32,456.00. Roll Call: Yes Trustees Karas, Boeck, Boulier & Hovis, Clerk Skonieczny, Treasurer Miskus and Supervisor Mahaffy. Motion Carried. 9. Moved by Clerk Skonieczny. Seconded by Treasurer Miskus to adopt resolution 11-05 to transfer Berm funds.
Resolution No. 11-05 The Board of Trustees of St. Clair Township resolves to allow the St. Clair County Road Commission to move the remaining $5,834.00 from the Township berm fund to the general match program. Roll Call: Yes Trustees Karas, Boeck, Boulier & Hovis, Clerk Skonieczny, Treasurer Miskus and Supervisor Mahaffy. Motion Carried. 10. Moved by Treasurer Miskus. Seconded by Clerk Skonieczny to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:23 p.m.
